After waking up at 6 o'clock am this poem was written. No, there was no pressing nudge to speak to a particular topic other than the need to exhale all of the toxins that masquerade our human minds as focal points when often many of the masks are distractions. Wasting time and energy can occur when we also, oppose the wise, old saying "don't waste your breath", and we do waste it. Don't we? In effort to seek and maintain balance this poem made it's way into the chapbook, Equilibrium. When life gets too complicated a consideration to step back and breathe may be all that we need to shift our journey towards a better path.
